Smoothie Magic
Di HutchisonSeriously delicious and nourishing pots of goodness! The recipe is extremely flexible but the base of mine is always the same. You can make ahead of time so your mornings are smooth too.
Equipment
- 1 Blender or food processor
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen berries
- 1/4 avocado
- juice and rind of 1/2 lemon
- 1 tbsp MCT oil plus some easy supplements like clean organic protein powder, collagen and greens.
Notes
If you like things a little sweeter (and add more fibre/nutrients) add a teaspoon of organic mesquite powder. Swap out the blueberries for whatever fruit you have on hand.
You can also add whatever is in the fridge such as coconut yoghurt, peanut butter (be aware of the total fat content in your smoothie ) fermented fruits, fresh vegetables, leftover cooked sweet potato or pumpkin, and/or garden-fresh herbs.
Adding in chia seeds (another source of fats) can create a thicker pudding consistency on standing for a few hours.
You can also add some vanilla and/or spices like cinnamon or nutmeg.
Create your own masterpiece – serve with a sprinkle of seeds and/or nuts.
